80/20 Aluminum Framing Solutions
ShapeMaster is NOT limited to plastic. In fact, many of our custom solutions are created from an array of different materials. The aluminum extrusion set from 80/20 is one of these materials. We stand by this product so much that we use it every chance we get in our own shop. Below are just a few shots of how we've incorporated 80/20 to create our own in-house, custom solutions. Perhaps our most impressive construction project using the 80/20 T-slotted aluminum extrusion set was for a lab facility in Rantoul, Illinois. In February of 2004, we were asked to participate in a clean room project. The room would be used in the filling of throat spray bottles. The filling equipment had been ordered, the floor prepared with a special resin surface, and the ceiling was being dropped to accommodate ductwork and lighting. ShapeMaster's task was to take basic sketches of the floor plan and apply 80/20 extrusions as well as acrylic and polycarbonate plastic sheeting to a final design. We were also responsible for all the doors, lift-off hinges, hardware for vertical sliding panels, and all the bolt-up hardware needed to create the wall structure.
Other Industrial Solutions: Heavy-duty framing, machine retrofitting, and mechanical automation are only a few options you have when choosing 80/20. It's the only T-slotted aluminum extrusion set ShapeMaster recommends. We wouldn't trust our shop equipment to just anyone, and neither should you.
