Capabilities
At ShapeMaster, we take pride in the broad range of services available to our clients-from design to CAD, prototyping, tool design, materials research, pattern and mold making, and parts manufacturing in small or large quantities-plus assembly, decorating, packaging, and drop shipping.
SKETCHES & CONCEPTUAL DESIGN
Clients typically provide us with sketches that convey the basic idea, proportions, and dimensions of the project they are envision
ing. If you do not have a drawing, we will sketch it out for you. Frequently, customers come to us with an actual part they want reproduced and we back-track from there.
COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN
We have expertise in a variety of computer programs that enable us to create precision 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional program files for prototyping and production: AutoCAD 2000 and 2004, Rhino 3D, SolidWorks 2007, and MasterCAM. One of the major benefits to utilizing computer technology is that the project can be viewed from a wide range of perspectives and potential weak points in design can be eliminated at an early stage in the creative process. With the accuracy of these prints in predicting the final appearance of the product, as the designer you can make enhancements to the original idea at this stage also.

TOOL MANUFACTURING
ShapeMaster has vast experience with tool patterning and making, and we create tooling from a variety of materials based on your design, including resin tooling board and aluminum. Tooling may require additional trim fixtures, plug assist fixtures, and pressure-forming fixtures depending on the project. Vacuum-formed parts are formed over the tooling. The tool will have all the detail, dimension, and markings
possible to create the finished molded shape.
The creation of a tool can also use CNC machining and routing of aluminum and resin board products.
PLASTIC PART(S) MANUFACTURING
ShapeMaster specializes in short runs as well as high-volume production of plastic parts. We offer several different plastic forming options: vacuum forming, drape forming, pressure forming, machining, and casting. The product’s design determines the type of process used to create production parts.
We also offer CNC machining of plastic for parts.
ASSEMBLY
At ShapeMaster, final products never leave the shop until quality standards are met and the customers’ needs are completely satisfied. As a result of this promise, we are often required to assemble multiple parts into larger or more complex finished products.
The completion of the forming process will require finish trimming, sawing, routing, drilling, and deburring, including all the holes or slots required. Assembly may include the use of adhesives in bonding, riveting, bolting or screwing components together, applications of double-sided foam or tapes, painting or decorating, and/or packaging for display or for retail merchandising.
FABRICATED CUSTOM TANKS AND ENCLOSURES
Industrial thermoplastic fabrication (plastic welders). Our industrial partners
can cut, machine, bend, and weld thermop
lastic
sheet, rod, and tube. Please keep us in mind for fabricated PVC, CPVC, PP,
copolymer, HDPE, and PVDF piping manifolds, tanks, duct, hoods, vessels, skid
mounted piping assemblies, and gizmos. We do installations and repairs in the
field. We do some machining (CNC router) of sheet and tube. We are a Corzan key
industrial fabricator. Most of our welders are DVS certified.
Common materials include PVC, CPVC, Polypro, HDPE, UHMW, polycarbonate, ABS,
Teflon, and PVDF. We stock a decent selection of sheet material, welding rod,
extruded PVC tube, and standard PVC duct fittings.
Capacities include hand welding, extrusion welding up to 2", butt welding up to
2 ¼” X 162" CNC machining up to 60" X 144" and 8" in diameter, Solid Works,
AutoCAD, MasterCAM, and some support steel fabrication.
