DRAPE FORMING - is also known as oven forming, and is a forming technique used when the finished piece requires a more gradual bend than objects resulting from other processes. The mold and plastic material are heated to forming temperature in an oven. As 
the plastic softens, it drapes over the mold. Once the plastic has cooled to room temperature, it will retain the shape of the mold. Drape forming is an excellent way to produce products such as seat backs and bottoms, doors, covers, and skylights.
Walk-Aide (Pictured at right)
This medial device is helping thousands of people who have had strokes or spinal cord injuries. The Walk-Aide, when assembled, creates a device that sends an electric shock into a persons leg muscle and picks up the foot so it doesn't drag as they attempt to walk. Fox News recently featured this product on a special medial review show.
This product required machining of the plastic and then drape forming.
